Founder’s Welcome
The Diversity, Equity and Diversity landscape in the Social Good sector has changed dramatically in recent years. Slowly, more companies have understood the value of DEI to innovation, recruiting, retaining and developing a competitive workforce in today’s global environment. There is a lot of uncertainty in today’s social good industry which has made it imperative to companies to redefine their business models to focus on value-driving initiatives that yield more innovative teams that connect better with the increasingly diverse marketplace by creating leaders and employees who build strong connections with the marketplace and community.
Although the social good sector is one of the least diverse industries, companies are waking up to the fact that better results can be achieved through building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce. Talent comes in all shades and it is important that the social good industry has the tools, resources, and education to prepare its leaders to focus on taking on a multi-cultural workplace. There is a paradigm shift from a monolithic culture to one that is multi-cultural and inclusive. It is incumbent upon leaders to educate themselves as to why DEI is important, not just for business, but for individuals.
With that being said, I would like to welcome you to the National Center for Social Good where we want to be top promoter of DEI in the construction industry by assisting companies in creating real change and measurable progress with recruitment, training, and coaching. I strongly believe that it is essential to companies to be intentional, everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential in the workplace.
DEI is not something you fix, it’s a path. Let’s work together in creating viable initiatives that will lead to real change in the industry.
Cordially,
Dennis Kennedy
